Oct./05 New!!! Just added to the media page is a full-length version of a new tune called Wobble. Wobble was written and recorded by Rob's brother, Scott Christian. Scott plays piano and Rob plays alto sax on this paired down arrangement of a very funky tune. If you like it, please let us know. Sept./05 Rob's Trio will be performing at the launch event for the Markham Arts Council on Oct. 2 at the Markham Theatre. The Trio will also be accompanying, for the first time, wonderful jazz vocalist June Garber.
Sept./05 An article and wonderful picture of Rob is featured on the cover of the September issue of Arts in Motion, the newsletter of the Markham Arts Council.
Sept./05 Two new music clips have been added to the media page. These clips are from Rob's Sax Sampler CD. Now people can hear Rob play sax as well as flute from this website. The one minute sax clips are: Erin's Lament by Scott Christian (Rob's brother) and Cantalouple Island by Herbie Hancock.
Aug. 20/05 Rob's concert on Saturday night for the Markham Jazz Festival was a great success. He had the largest crowd ever at the Bandstand! (over 2,000 people!!!) Special guests, Maya Chilton and Dan Roberts were fantastic. Thanks to bass player George Taylor.
Aug. 18, 19, 20, 21/05 Markham Jazz Festival Weekend was fantastic. The crowds were unbelievable!! Rob jammed on Thurs. night with Charlie Finlay, played 1st alto with Not Affiliated on Friday night, had his great concert on Sat. night and jammed with La Nai Gabriel's trio on Sunday afternoon. Wow, it was fun.
Aug. 17/05 Rob was awarded the Mitch Mitchell Memorial Award from the Markham-Unionville Rotary Club. This Jazz Award is given annually to an up-and-coming young jazz artist. Very sincere thanks to the members of the Rotary Club.
Aug/05 Rob will be appearing on Breakfast Television Friday, Aug. 19.
Aug/05 Rob's Trio gig at the Unionville Bandstand was a rip-roaring success! Rob jammed with Juno Award winning pianist, Eddie Bullen, who came to check him out. Thanks to special guests: Raz Hilland, Doug Pipher and Will Stokes.
July 31/05 Happy Birthday Rob! Rob turned 16 years old. Now we have to change all the promo information. lol
July/05 Rob just finished two great weekends of performing at Parti Gras at the Distillery District and the Beaches Jazz Festival. The audience reaction was fantastic! The crowds were unbelievable!
July/05 Rob was interviewed and featured in the daily paper "24". Wow, a lot of people read it. We got lots of calls about the article.

June/05 Rob has been selected to be in the Ontario Provincial Honour Band once again. This time, Rob will be playing Alto Sax!
